Your Opportunity:Alberta Health Services (AHS) is currently seeking a passionate leader to guide the South Zone’s Social Work team to deliver services across the zone. This team is a key part of health service delivery supporting people in accessing programs, funding, and the supports they need to live healthier, more enjoyable lives. The ideal candidate understands both the mental and emotional demands of Social Work. They have experience in project or program management and are looking to grow their career while providing direction, leadership and evaluation of the Social Work services that encompass our regional and rural health centers in the South Zone. You will be accountable for key decisions while ensuring efficient and effective patient and client-focused delivery of services. You will use skills in business planning, budget management, and communication to work collaboratively with key internal and external stakeholders to foster program excellence. The role’s location is negotiable within AHS’s South Zone. Come join our Allied Health team today!Description:As the Allied Health Manager, Social Work, you will provide direct support and expert counsel to the practical experience in strategy, policy development, leadership, and project/program management, you will demonstrate knowledge and application of business planning, fiscal management, modeling concepts, and program/project management theory, principles, and practices. With a proven ability to think strategically, strong communication skills, a client-focused orientation, and a commitment to providing quality clinical services, you will ensure accountability measures are collected to evaluate the outcomes of Social Work programs and services while managing change and creating innovative solutions for complex and diverse issues. You will develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders to provide leadership to the Social Work program including South Zone Allied Health Leadership team, the South Zone Leadership Team, the AHS Leadership Team, partner organizations, provincial Allied Health Professional Practice and Education (AHPPE) team, and other key stakeholders.Classification: Manager Union: Exempt Unit and Program: Social Work Primary Location: Chinook Regional Hospital Location Details: As Per Location Negotiable Location: Within South Zone Temporary Employee Class: Temp F/T Benefits FTE: 1.00 Posting End Date: 04-APR-2024 Date Available: 15-APR-2024 Temporary End Date: 15-DEC-2024 Hours per Shift: 7.75 Length of Shift in weeks: 2 Shifts per cycle: 10 Shift Pattern: Days Days Off: Saturday/Sunday Minimum Salary: $37.88 Maximum Salary: $64.97 Vehicle Requirement: Driver #39;s License, Vehicle Provided Required Qualifications:Minimum of a bachelor #39;s degree in an Allied Health Discipline, (Social Work preferred), with applicable current licenses and designations. Minimum of 5 years #39; experience in a progressive leadership role, ideally in an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity. Demonstrated pattern of professional and personal development, preferably related to healthcare leadership. Equivalencies of education and experience may be considered.
