Job Description

Job DescriptionSalary Range - 45,000 to 50,000 plus Profit Sharing BonusA Typical Day at EMCO:As the Receiving and Inventory Control Coordinator, you will be responsible for counting, verifying, receiving, and putting away incoming vendor product.You will also be responsible for the management, identification, updating, and fixing all product bin locations to ensure a clean, efficient, and smooth picking process for customer orders A high attention to detail is a must and will ensure exceptional levels of customer service and satisfaction. Additional duties will include:

  • Follow all Health and Safety rules and legislation while performing job functions
  • Load and unload trucks, operate forklift and other material handling equipment
  • Receiving duties include:
    • Upon unloading vendor shipments or customer returns, obtain the packing slip and verify product received. Note any discrepancies or damaged product
    • Print and verify the computer receiving documents and accurately enter product received into the computer system
    • Identify special order and damaged product and store in proper location
    • Note all shipping discrepancies on freight carrier’s Bill of Lading, initiate freight claims and forward paperwork to appropriate teammate
  • Management and tracking of all damaged inventory - coordination of repair and release of it back into regular inventory for sale
  • Support when required the picking, packing, and shipping of product to our customers
  • Inform the Manager of any inventory discrepancies and damaged/defective product that would impact customer service levels
  • Maintain warehouse cleanliness and safety by removing empty cartons, metal banding, pallets, and other debris
  • Inform Manager of any safety issues within the warehouse
  • Assist teammates in servicing customers at the counter
  • Perform other tasks as requested by the Profit Centre Manager
The successful candidate with the right fit and experience will have the opportunity to grow into a Warehouse Lead role where they will be overseeing the shipping, receiving, yard and inventory control roles and be responsible for all teammates and operations in the warehouse and yard.
