Job Description

Job descriptionThe IPM Specialist is responsible for a variety of IPM duties, including but not limited to checking and implementing daily schedules to ensure plant health and product quality. The focus of the IPM Specialist is to meet daily productivity, quality, and compliance requirements. This entry level position will communicate and coordinate directly with the Cultivation Manager to ensure timely and accurate application of the IPM procedures. The IPM Specialist is expected to operate under the highest standards of compliance and professionalism while maintaining open and clear communication.Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Identifies pest and pathogens and their levels in the cultivation areas
  • Monitors pest and pathogen levels, and updates IPM leads and area supervisors accordingly
  • Monitors crop health in cultivation areas, using a variety of tools and instrumentation
  • Maintains and monitors beneficial organism populations and rates
  • Develops, modifies, and applies plant protectant treatment plans accordingly
  • Tracks product usage in plant protectant preparation
  • Maintains clear records and logs, and ensures timely submission of all required records
  • Stay current on practices and all provincial and federal codes and regulations related to IPM in Cannabis
  • Maintain effective written and oral communication with IPM team leads or/and Cultivation Manager
  • Follow standard operating procedures for assigned tasks and projects; follows all safety protocols
  • Performs other duties as assigned
