Job Description

Commissionaires BC is currently recruiting for a security guard to work the RCMP training site in Chilliwack.The position would see you working Monday to Friday 7am till 3pm.Pay rate $22.75/hrRequirements:

  • Valid BC Security License
  • Must be bilingual (Frenchamp; English)
  • Have lived in Canada for minimum 5 years for clearance purposes and be a Canadian Citizen or have a valid PR
  • OFA 1 or willing to obtain
  • Class 5 Drivers License
  • Willing to go through RCMP clearance process (may take up to 5 months)
Some of your responsibilities include:
  • Reception duties, answering phone calls and questions
  • Patrols – interior and exterior
  • Maintaining official visitor logs, count sheets, sign-in/out sheets
  • Writing clear and concise daily logs and reports of all incidents
  • Proactively responding to and resolving emergency situations
  • Provide first aid in a prompt, accessible, and appropriate manner
  • Effectively communicating problems or concerns to the Site Supervisor
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of site duties and safety standards
