Company BioRoss Memorial Hospital (RMH) is an active, acute-care community hospital located in the heart of the City of Kawartha Lakes. Among our acute and continuing care services, our team cares for 45,000 patients per year in the 24/7/365 emergency department, provides orthopedics and ophthalmology, operates a dialysis unit, and is renowned for its mental health programs and restorative seniors care. The Ross family takes pride in providing compassionate, quality patient care.Position SummaryThe Environmental Services department is currently seeking a Temporary Part-Time Environmental Services I to join their team.Effective Date: June 21, 2021Ending on or before: December 20, 2021Department/Unit/Program DescriptionThe Environmental Services Department strives to ensure a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff. The duties of the department are carried out to the highest possible standard in accordance with infection prevention and control best practices.Essential Qualifications

  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • The successful applicant will preferably have previous housekeeping/janitorial experience in a health care setting or similar institution
  • Demonstrated ability to deal effectively and cooperatively with all levels of staff, patients and the public
  • Demonstrated high level of communication, organizational and time management skills
  • Must be physically fit as the job involves heavy lifting, continual standing and walking, with frequent pushing, pulling, reaching above and below the shoulder, lifting, bending and crouching
  • Must be able to perform both Housekeeping and Portering functions
Hours of WorkMust be available to work a variety of shifts such as days, evenings, and nights, Monday through Sunday.
