Among our acute and continuing care services, our team cares for 45,000 patients per year in the 24/7/365 emergency department, provides orthopedics and ophthalmology, operates a dialysis unit, and is renowned for its mental health programs and restorative seniors care. The Ross family takes pride in providing compassionate, quality patient care.Department/Unit/Program DescriptionThe Environmental Services Department strives to ensure a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff. The duties of the department are carried out to the highest possible standard in accordance with infection prevention and control best practices.Position SummaryThe Environmental Services Department is currently seeking a Temporary Full Time Facility Project Coordinator. This position reports to the Manager, Environmental Services, Grounds Services & Logistics.The Facility Project Coordinator will establish and maintain the flow of information, communication and positive working relationships with subcontractors, customers, material suppliers and other internal and external individuals having an interest in the success of the projects/tasks.Key roles and responsibilities:

  • Coordinate facility projects
  • Manage facility space and organizational moves
  • Introduce new and evolved services
  • Provide direction, standards and support for key initiatives
  • Education and train staff, as required
  • Participate in the selection of contractors and coordinate the work of contractors and others
  • Other duties as assigned
Required Date: June 21, 2021Ending on or before: March 31, 2022Essential QualificationsEducation:
  • Community College Diploma (3 year) in a related field
Experience:
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in project management
  • Recent leadership experience in a unionized environment
  • Demonstrated experience in change management and the implementation of new systems
  • Demonstrated experience with the operation of contracts
Knowledge/Skills:
  • Demonstrated knowledge of WHMIS and the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations
  • Demonstrated analytical, oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated time management and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Office programs)
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Must be able to fulfill the physical requirements of the job, as per the current Physical Demands Analysis
Hours Of WorkMust be available for eight (8) hour day shifts Monday to Friday, weekends and evenings as needed.
