Job Description

Some of the job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Greet customers, listen to understand requests, respond with appropriate action, and provide accurate information such as local attractions and amenities
  • Complete registration, check-in, and check-out procedures
  • Verify and process credit cards for authorization using electronic point of sale systems
  • Handle cash, make change and balance an assigned house bank
  • Promptly answer the telephone using positive and clear communication
  • Process reservations using proprietary reservation system
  • Remain calm and alert, especially during emergency and/or heavy hotel activity, and resolve complications
  • Field guest requests, complaints and inquiries; conducting thorough research to develop the most effective solutions and negotiate results
  • Be competent in the use of the computer on applications such as Microsoft Office and proprietary reservation system
  • Perform light housekeeping duties and lobby upkeep as needed
  • Ensure full completion of all duties and checklists relating to the shift and a concise hand over in order to assist the smooth running of the property, effective team work and guest satisfaction
  • Ability to communicate and liaise efficiently with all other hotel departments (ex. Housekeeping, maintenance, sales/marketing, etc.) to assure the highest level of guest satisfaction
  • Promote Wyndham Rewards and brand marketing programs
  • Be competent in the use of the computer on applications such as Microsoft Office and proprietary reservation system
  • Must follow health and safety protocols at all times as specified by corporate and health department guidelines
  • Supervisory/managment experience an asset for career growth
  • Agents must be flexible with scheduling and be available for work on weekdays/weekends, morning, evening, overnight shifts and holidays

Education:
  • Secondary School (preferred)
Experience:
  • Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
