We have a talented team of Dental Hygienists that work closely with our dentists to provide you with excellent care, provide oral cancer and periodontal screening to assist you with understanding your oral health. Mayflower Dental has an RDA Clinical Lead that assists with sterilization and clinical flow throughout the day.Being part of the Mayflower Dental Group, with 6 locations in the Cape Breton Regional Municipality – we are able to provide a solid internal patient referral program, dental hygiene program, excellent support system for expanding your skill set and the opportunity to learn among a very talented group of Dental Professionals. The ability to accept additional hours is available within our Mayflower Dental Group network of clinics. Responsibilities:

• Appropriately assess, plan, implement and evaluate services for patient care
• Perform all aspects of clinical preventative hygiene services including scaling, root planning, polishing, topical fluoride, pit and fissure sealants and whitening to patients
• Serve as an oral health educator by introducing new preventative techniques and counselling
• Establish and retain patient loyalty by delivering a tailored experience based on the patients’ expectations, while consistently maintaining ethical and professional behaviour.

About You:

• Completed Dental Hygiene Diploma or Hygiene Degree
• Registered Dental Hygienist in good standing with provincial licensing
• Valid CPR certification
