The selected candidate will invoice Boulevard North for their time at the end of each month.In this role, the Content Writer and Editor will be responsible for creating highly impactful website content and strategies from concept to completion. They will work with a wide variety of businesses from various industries, ranging from small start-up businesses to large-scale corporations. The content writer will be responsible for creating high-quality and compelling website copy tailored specifically for target audiences while determining and maintaining the tone of voice for the brand. Projects will include self-driven research of keywords and phrases for SEO and a strong understanding of how to write website copy using engaging CTAs with appropriate content hierarchy and placement. The ideal person for this position is someone who has a passion for writing, learning and researching new topics. They are motivated and self-driven, detail-oriented, have strong communication skills, are extremely organized and are a creative and critical thinker.This role will also include social media content creation and blog writing for internal projects within the business. This includes, but is not limited to, generating content topics and creating engaging social content that promotes the business and portfolio work.As a Content Writer & Editor, we are looking for someone who: - Has exceptional writing and editing skills, with strong attention to spelling and grammar; ability to self-edit- Has excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to provide clear direction and feedback- Is highly organized and detail-oriented, and will maintain a consistent level of quality across all projects and schedules- Is able to multitask, prioritize, meet tight deadlines and work under pressure- Is comfortable interviewing clients and working with all types of business genres using various forms of communication- Has exceptional research skills with the ability to understand various topics- Understands how to target specific audiences with clear, engaging, and persuasive writing techniques- Has the ability to take unorganized and complex information and transform it into engaging and understandable content- Can establish and maintain a brands tone of voice throughout all marketing material- Will format content using visuals and structure to enhance the user experience- Has a strong understanding of how to write for the web, using keywords and phrases for SEO- Maintains a high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information and is willing to sign an independent contractor NDA.- Is comfortable working virtually with video and phone calls- Will stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices as content evolves for technology- Will adhere to and co-develop brand-specific strategies and content internally and externally- Supports internal marketing initiatives and assists with strategy implementations for business growth- Is willing to be part of the creative process and offer strong recommendations to produce the best work for our clientsThe experience we are looking for: - 2+ years of strong content writing experience- Researching topics and writing for social media use- Researching keywords and implementing SEO techniques- Creating and developing brand communication strategies is an asset- Familiar with Google Suite (Forms/Sheets/Docs/Cal/Meet)- Typing Speed of at least 70-80 WPMPractical Skills Test: If you are selected as a possible candidate for this position, a practical skills test will be sent to you.
