Job Description

Position PostingsVisitor Service Attendant – Summer Student, Part-time(2 Position Available) Term of Employment:Part-Time, Summer Term (May 26, 2025 – August 23, 2025)Rate of Pay:Student Wage Band: $17.70 per hour (Subject to CUPE 1015 Agreement)Current Location:Outdoor PoolDuties:The Visitor Service Attendant (VSA) is responsible for the following duties and tasks:

  • Provide outstanding customer service to our members and participants.
  • Greet, acknowledge, engage and interact with members.
  • Create an educational, safe and inviting experience for all participants.
  • Initiate, develop and maintain positive relationships with participants.
  • Quickly and efficiently respond to member questions, comments, and concerns.
  • Provide a safe, clean and organized area.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with lifeguards and instructors.
  • Participate in the City of Lloydminster’s Safety Management System.
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and actions through a display of courtesy, service, cooperation, hospitality, sensitivity, and professionalism to internal and external customers.
  • Educate Customers on Facility Rules
  • Process Payments for admissions, memberships, merchandise, and program registrations.
  • Register participants for programs
  • Recognize and respond quickly and effectively to emergencies.
  • Other relevant duties as assigned.
Schedule:This position works shifts, consisting of mornings, days and evenings.The ability to work weekends is required.This position will work approximately 32 hours per week in May and June and 40 hours per week in July and August.Special InstructionsApplicants must be attending school and returning to studies in the subsequent academic year. Verification of student status will be required.Qualifications:The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and attributes:
  • Previous experience in cash handling and customer service.
  • Neat in appearance and in good physical condition.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proven ability to effectively and tactfully deal with the public.
  • Possess basic computer skills.
  • Valid Standard First Aidamp; CPR - C certificate is considered an asset.
