Job Description

Great Opportunity as a Production Manager!Location: Markham, ONOur Client is a global leader in Automotive Electronic Systems, renowned for their scalable, best-in-class restraint control systems that significantly mitigate the effects of car crashes.   • Manage and develop a team of Production Supervisors.
  • Lead team through the continuous improvement process to achieve 5S, On Time Delivery, Direct Labour Cost and Inventory targets and work with a cross-functional team to achieve OEE, DPMU and Scrap targets.
  • Coordinate build plan with Scheduling Coordinator and identify and resolve capacity constraints.
  • Set, review and revise production contract numbers as efficiencies change.
  • Responsible for determining root cause on schedule misses and communicating recovery plans.
  • Lead SQDCM meetings and support production meetings including daily start-up, overtime, etc.
  • Implement and ensure adherence to standard processes, quality standards and safety standards.
  • Coordinate production activities through collaboration with Engineering, Logistics and Maintenance departments.
  • Drive operational efficiency mindset across the organization.
Requirements What you #39;ll bring
  • Several years’ work experience leading teams in a manufacturing environment. Previous manager level experience as an asset.
  • Post Secondary education in a technical field.
  • Ability to lead and drive continuous improvement.
  • Possess technical knowledge and be adept at all phases of the manufacturing process.
  • High-volume electronics manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Extensive experience applying problem solving techniques.
  • Familiarity with IATF16949, ISO14001.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
