Job Description

Responsibilities - not limited to:

• Medication monitoring and administration.Check each residents file in theMAR, verify identity of resident against photo on MAR, ensure right meds are administered to right resident.Verify checklist to ensure the resident has received all the meds prescribed.Monitor residents non prescription items and re-order when required.
• Monitor residents health status and document significant findingson narrative notes in medcare system.Update client records as required related to monthly weights, blood pressures, DNR orders etc.
• Support Meal Services in dining room.Assist with serving meals and clearing dining room after meal service is complete.Interact with residents during meal service, note any significant issues related to nutrition and enter into narrative notes if required.
• Respond to Call Bells if Guest Attendants are unavailable.Provide assistance to residents as appropriate in response to call-bell included any toileting or personal care support.
• Other duties as assigned based on the needs of the business.

TASKS: (May vary depending on assigned shift)

• Attend shift reportamp; complete narcotic count.
• Administer medications as per MAR, ensure that the TAR pass is being completed.
• Ensure all resident temperatures are being completed and documented.
• Remove walkers from dining room.
• Assist serving dinner in the dining room.
• Assist clearing tables and taking any residents back that require porting.
• Complete meal attendance documentation.
• Documentation.
• Assessment book to be completed.
• Fire safety book to be completed.
• Complete any new doctor orders or second checks that need to be completed and faxed if necessary.
• Sanitize office and medication cart and back medication room.
• Shift change/Narcotic count.
