Motivated by the highest possible stakes of climate change and global health, we’re working together within a rapidly digitizing industry to find innovative technologies that guarantee the safety of our water and our environment.About the roleTrojan Technologies is hiring for a Buyer to work a hybrid schedule in the London, ON, office!In this role you will support all manufacturing and service operations. We will rely on you to have all necessary parts and materials available for use, when required, at the best possible total cost and at the required quality level. The Buyer will p lan and run current and future MRP requirements based on production needs. Join our team and prioritize the highest level of quality in terms of vendor performance and continuity of supply!Key Responsibilities:Maintain accurate purchasing information for all production components: lead-time, pricing, inventory stocking levels, country of origin etcMaintain/review inventory levels for standard componentsEvaluation/action of purchasing reports to support production timelines: MRP/PRP; expediting, rescheduling and cancellation messagesProcessing orders for miscellaneous supplies to support other business team needsObtain best price and delivery while meeting required quality standardsApply negotiation and purchase of various components and commodities including complex commodities such as fabricated parts, machining, casting, valves, PCB, UV Lamps, Lighting Ballast, Electrical Components, Wiring Harness & Cables, MRO Prepare and issue purchase orders to suppliers daily for timely receipt of goods to meet customer/project requirementsInterface with global procurement teams to establish site manufacturing inputs / requirements are aligned with center led strategyCollaborate with Commodity Team to implement and maintain a supplier rationalization program, and to actively pursue cost reduction ideas and strategies with vendorsQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering, or applicable.Minimum of 1 to 3 years of procurement / category management experience.3-5 years proven purchasing experience for a global manufacturing company.Minimum 1 year experience with MRP / ERP materials planning system experience.
