Job Description

One of our client in London, ON is looking for a Cost Accountant for their manufacturing facility.Shift - DaysPay - $70-$75K Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain cost accounting systems and cost standards.
• Analyze and report on production costs, inventory valuations, and variances.
• Perform cost analysis and provide insight for cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and supply chain departments to assess cost impact.
• Monitor and review cost records, including overhead allocation and job costing.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual cost accounting reports.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Support audits and provide necessary documentation.

Requirements:

• Bachelor #39;s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master #39;s preferred).
• CPA (Certified Public Accountant) required.
• 3+ years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting principles, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and MS Excel.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with ERP systems.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
