Job Description

At Union Ten Distilling Co we’re enthusiastic about small-batch spirits and providing exceptional customer service. Our sand beach patio was such a hit last year with our fun beach side cocktails and stone fired pizza, that we are bringing it back for another season starting June 17!About the Host Position: The host is the very first person to see and greet our guests, which means you are the juniper to our gin! This means you are the person that sets the tone for the customers' entire experience and are responsible for creating the flow of customers into the patio to ensure both the kitchen and bar can deliver.What you’re Responsible for:

  • Engaging and communicating with customers when they first enter the establishment
  • Managing the customers placement throughout the patio, by creating section transitions and flow for both the kitchen and bar
  • Assisting in other positions, by jumping in to help serve, clear and reset tables when needed
  • Take ownership of every shift you work, by taking responsibility and accountability for both service, communication quality and efficiency
What you bring to the table:
  • A willingness to learn and an openness to feedback, coaching and mentorship
  • A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with all staff.
  • Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
  • Able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food or dishes when necessary
  • Smart Served
  • Highschool Diploma or equivalent
  • Available to work 6-10 hours from Thursday to Sunday
  • Legal permission to work in Canada
Patio hours are currently Thursday, Friday’s from 4 p.m. - 11 p.m. Saturday’s from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday’s 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. We are located at 656 Dundas Street.Pay is $14.25/hourTo be considered for the position, please attach a cover letter and resume to indeed and be sure to identify the name of the position that you’re applying for.Applications will be reviewed by our management team and those who meet the requirements will be invited to the distillery for the interview process.
