If you are committed and collaborative recent graduate looking to contribute to a hard-working, innovative team, this opportunity is for you.The Junior Electrical Estimator is an entry level estimating position with no experience required, located in our London, Ontario office and reports directly to the Electrical Operations Supervisor. Their primary focus is to assist the Estimator as required with commercial and industrial take-offs. Under the guidance of the Estimator, the candidate would handle estimating and sales of residential and light Commercial Electrical Vehicle Charging installations, take offs, quotes, customer contact, etc.Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Prepare quotes by sourcing material and contacting customers
• Prepare estimates of cost of materials, labour and equipment for projects based on contract bids, quotations, schematic drawings and specifications
• Coordinate price packages with suppliers, subcontracteors, owners, designers and architects regarding tenders
• Participate in site review, tender review, tender hand-off, project closing and operational/sector meetings with various stakeholders as required – i.e. senior estimator, operational staff and purchasing
• Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors and subcontractors
• Assist with consulting and communicating with engineers, architects, owners, contractor and subcontractors as well as prepare economic feasibility studies on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
• Assist with material and equipment purchasing for secured jobs.
• Update and maintain estimating database.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• Degree or Diploma in electrical engineerings, mechanical engineering, estimating, project management, construction engineering technology, or related field.
• Applicable experience as a tradesperson may substitute for education requirements.

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• No experience is required for CET, EET, B.Eng (Mech) or B.Eng (Elec) graduate
• 1-3 years experience in estimating mechanical/electrical projects is considered an asset.

SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• Proficient user of MS Office (Word, Excel, Project)
• Strong organization and time management skills
• Highly detail-oriented self-starter
• Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
