We offer flextime and comprehensive benefits.We are committed to our customers and the communities and agricultural regions we serve every day.Job Overview: The Merchandise Financial and Inventory Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining inventory replenishment systems, processes and personnel in order to achieve optimal stock levels in store.Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate has knowledge of Supply Chain and experience with warehousing or distribution and inventory management.Responsibilities

  • Identify all impacts and enable execution of annual category management plans
  • Ensure offshore and seasonal goods are effectively flowed through supply chain
  • Review and redeploy inefficient inventory within chain
  • Monitor and measure in stock position against seasonal targets including CAM and flyer
  • Monitor and measure changes to replenishment system and approve any system logic changes
  • Balance inbound inventory flow with store demand, while considering capacity constraints at warehouse and in retail stores
  • Oversee preparation of the financial Plan, Annual Seasonal Plan and Seasonal Forecasting for Receipts and Markdown Planning to ensure accuracy and executability
  • Build and lead the merchandise financial planning process to set, implement, and monitor performance against budget objectives, and proactively recommend action plans
  • Weekly and ongoing review of plans versus target, and activities to close gaps
  • Continually refine in-month and in-quarter forecasting
  • Provide strategic direction to achieve targets based on sales and inventory trends, risks and opportunities
  • Manage and plan inventory positions and approach pricing strategies to drive sales, profit and sell through objectives
  • Review Ad-Hoc or unapproved budget requests as well as be responsible in contributing to track departmental budgets (Budget vs. Actual metrics)
  • Assist in developing the Corporate Financial Plan for the organization by working closely with the leadership team
  • Evaluate promotional plans to ensure right level of inventory to support sales projections
  • Execute operational improvements identified in corporate road map
  • Develop, implement and maintain inventory ‘Playbook’ that addresses core inventory management policies and inventory analyst operating procedures
  • Identify system enhancements to existing base systems, define business requirements
  • Evaluate, predict impacts and recommend adjustments to replenishment model
  • Develop and monitor ecommerce fulfilment KPI’s and facilitate projects for performance improvement
  • Manage allocation by store capacity to enable store operational efficiencies
  • Develop and track financial KPIs and deliver accurate and timely reporting to relevant stakeholders to ensure appropriate decisions are made
  • Collaborate with Merchandise Director to develop and validate corporate road map, resource planning and performance targets
  • Support IT and PMO in the development, testing and releasing of enhancements that impact inventory management systems or processes
  • Support the weekly, monthly and quarterly business review process, reviewing assortment & vendor performance and adjusting tactics accordingly to achieve sales, margin and inventory objectives in collaboration with the Merchandising Director
  • Work closely with the relevant leaders to formulate the merchandising and supply chain sales, margin and inventory budget target and support with category line review strategy builds and assist with business case planning to support investments
  • Work directly with the Merchandising department to provide oversight and visibility of the business’ merchandise financial plan
  • Coordinate with DC and Transportation to optimize the flow of inventory through the Supply Chain
  • Collaborate with Store Planning team to ensure optimal inventory to support store initiatives and planograms
Qualifications
  • Education in Business/Finance or a related field and related certification/equivalent experience
  • Supply Chain certification considered an asset
  • 5-6 years related work experience
  • 3-4 years experience in a leadership role
