Motivated by the highest possible stakes of climate change and global health, we’re working together within a rapidly digitizing industry to find innovative technologies that guarantee the safety of our water and our environment.About the opportunityWorking within the procurement team and reporting to the Purchasing Team Leader, the SME is responsible for evaluating the “best in class” processes in the area of procurement and implement related improvements to increase the efficiency of the overall procurement process. This is a unique role and 70% of time will focus on the ERP system implementation of Infor LN and 30% special project work throughout the purchasing department. The SME will use their expertise in full cycle procurement processes and continuous improvement methodologies to liaison with the information systems team to lead all new integrations, improvements and training. What a great opportunity to step outside of the day-to-day operations of purchasing and have influence on the business and processes!This position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement in which you can work part-time at the Company location identified above and part-time remotely from your home.Responsibilities:Explaining the purpose of a processReviewing, approving and communicating process changes and/or improvementsEnsuring process is documented, validated and sustainableUnderstand the impacts, considerations and relationships between processes and negotiate process conflicts with respective process ownersWork with the project team to implement the process in the LN systemPerform testing, gap analysis, simulations and validation of the process in the LN systemEnsure work instructions are complete where applicableCommunicate with process stakeholders for validation, approvals and change managementSupport cross functional sourcing projectsAnalyzes requisition requirements, evaluated bids and awards contracts to the best qualified suppliersParticipate in and support negotiation of purchases and supplier agreementsIdentify and implement cost savings and process improvement opportunities through ongoing review of spend categoriesDevelop new ways to optimize improve and solve problems in the supply chain as they ariseAre you qualifiedMinimum of 5 years procurement experience. We are seeking buying experience that is strategic in nature. How have you improved results or influenced a processDemonstrated ability with formal ERP systems, Infor LN is highly desirable since this is the system we are implementing (SAP, BaaN, MIS also a plus)Knowledge of lean tools related to procurement. We utilize our proven “Danaher Business Systems” or DBS that includes lean/continuous improvement actions like Kaizens, 5S, etc. What have you usedExperience working with product lifecycle management, document control and enterprise quality management systemsPost-secondary education in related field and/or SCMP or CPP certification is a plusWhen you join us, you’ll also be joining Danaher’s global organization, where 69,000 people wake up every day determined to help our customers win.
