Job Description

Applications from outside the bargaining unit are welcome but can only be considered if the position is not filled from within this bargaining unit.Department NameECG Technician - VHReporting to the Manager - Cardiac Non-Invasive & Outpatient Services, the individual is required to perform adult and paediatric electrocardiogram (ECG). The Department offers a wide range of diagnostic Cardiology procedures for both inpatient and outpatient populations.Temporary CasualRate of Pay: $33.32 per hour to $46.02 per hourDuration: November 18, 2022 - November 16, 2023Qualifications

  • Successful completion of a Cardiovascular Technology program
  • Registered Technologist (or registration eligible) with Ontario Society of Cardiology Technologist (OSCT) or equivalent
  • Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers course: BLS-HCP (C)
  • Minimum one year of previous experience
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Internet Explorer, Outlook and Cardiac Information Databases
  • Ability to function independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary team
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated flexibility, adaptibility, and ability to manage change in a dynamic environment
  • Physically fit and able to perform duties required in this fast-paced position
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to patient and staff safety at LHSC
  • Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis
Immunization Requirements:
  • Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (chicken pox), Hepatitis B, Tetanus/ Diphtheria/Polio; Meningitis.
  • Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing (two step) and COVID vaccine series.
