As one of Canada’s top ten research institutes, we are committed to furthering scientific knowledge to advance health care around the world.The successful applicant will be part of the Department of Cardiology, Heart Failure Group at LHSC. We are looking for a Research Associate with clinical experience in Cardiology.The position will include Research Ethics Board and Health Canada submissions and correspondence, as well as maintenance of essential study documents and study files. Assisting in recruiting participants into various studies, seeing participants in clinic to do study procedures, as well as maintaining all documentation and regulatory items as per protocols. Liaising with the Principal/Sub-Investigators per protocols, and processing and shipping per guidelines, conduct all aspects of clinical research in accordance with Lawson Health Research Institute’s policies and ICH/GCP guidelines. The successful candidate will act as a consultant/expert resource for collaborating research teams. The individual must be self-driven, resourceful, and highly motivated to recruit and remain compliant with study protocols. The individual must be able to identify, analyze, and interpret research participant and trial information and use their judgement and decision-making skills to respond appropriately and proactively to issues that may arise.Rate of Pay: To commensurate with experienceHours of Work: 22.5 hours per weekDuration: 12-month contract with the possiblity of renewalQualifications
