As one of Canada’s top ten research institutes, we are committed to furthering scientific knowledge to advance health care around the world.The Research Associate collaborates with the Investigators to assume responsibility for coordination of several studies for the Department of Oncology (Division of Radiation Oncology) at the London Regional Cancer Program at Victoria Hospital. The study portfolio includes investigator-initiated studies as well as some industry-sponsored and cooperative group sponsored studies. This position will provide an excellent opportunity for a dynamic individual with demonstrated organizational, communication and scientific writing skills. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, grant and manuscript writing, protocol development, recruitment of study participants (e.g. identify and screen potential subjects, obtain informed consent), coordination of patient visit schedules as per study protocol, execution of all aspects of study visits (e.g. assessment adverse events, monitoring safety, medication, questionnaires, sample collection including processing and shipment of samples according to clinical protocol) and the implementation and coordination of all aspects of data collection and source documentation, as per LHSC policy and ICH/GCP guidelinesRate of Pay: To commensurate with experienceHours of work: 22.5 hours (3 days) per weekDuration: 12 month contractQualifications
