We believe in empowering people to experience the outdoors to the fullest.And we believe in you.ABOUT THE POSITIONThe Sales Team is looking for a Value Channel/Corporate Sales Representative to join the team in our Canada Headquarters located in London, Ontario.Being part of the sales team, this position manages all sales functions for the Value Channel volume accounts and designated Corporate accounts to ensure the business grows profitably according to sales projections through both full price and closeout sales. This includes account financial planning, assortment planning, developing, and implementing special make up and closeout sales plans, coordinating special product showings, and order management.HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCEManage all sales aspects for the Value and Corporate Channel accounts by developing and implementing sales strategies that promote the sell in and sell through of Columbia products.Process and monitor orders from entry through shipping of product.Negotiate close-out prices skillfully with key accounts to maximize sales and achieve acceptable internal profitability.Work closely with Columbia departments to coordinate product presentations and provide information on technical aspects of product, including design and materials.Oversee requests for special product makes by working closely with the Canada product team and the National Sales Manager.Work closely with the National Sales Manager and Finance team to ensure financial goals are met.Meet regularly with the Columbia sales management team to review sales data and account management.YOU AREAble to maintain positive open lines of communication with all Columbia Sportswear management, staff, and other departments, contributing to the smooth flow of information and efficient operation of the organization.Highly knowledgeable in Value Channel, Corporate Channel and Outdoor Industry, marketing, sales theory, strategy, prospecting, territory planning, forecasting, use of sales aids, and closing techniques.Able to analyze market conditions and respond with appropriate strategies and direction based on a thorough knowledge of product lines and services.Experienced in working with proprietary, private, and confidential information.YOU HAVEA Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or Marketing5+ years of Sales experience, preferably in the outdoor industryExtensive computer experience with exposure to computer CRTThe ability to work occasional overtime and attend some evening and weekend meetingsThe ability to travel (10-20%), including overnight travelThis job posting is not meant to be an all-inclusive list of duties and responsibilities, but constitutes a general definition of the position’s scope and function in the Company.
