Requisition ID: 125559Opportunity Type: PermanentEstimated Annual Salary: 150,000 - 200,000Type of Remuneration: FFS - Fee For ServiceSite Visit & Reallocation Allowance Programs: Relocation Program; Site Visit ProgramAbout This OpportunityLower Sackville Family Focus Medical Clinic is seeking a Family Physician to join its professionally managed clinic in a 0.6 full-time equivalent role. This clinic is located in Lower Sackville and is a comfortable commute to central Halifax. The clinic is professionally managed and fully supported by friendly administrative staff. This position comes with an existing patient roster and the compensation structure for this position is fee-for-service.ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Examine patients and take their histories, order diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures; advise patients on health care, health promotion, and disease prevention
  • Consultation and referral to other medical practitioners’
  • Act as a patient’s advocate
  • Prescribe and administer medications and treatments, inoculations and vaccinations
  • Report births, deaths, contagious and other diseases as per Nova Scotia Public Health requirements
Expected HoursPart-time, 0.6FTEQualifications
  • Eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
  • Eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
  • Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
