Job Description

HUMAN RESOURCES CLERKABOUT SIGFUSSON NORTHERN: Sigfusson Northern is a third-generation family-owned business, which now has a portion of the company being employee-owned. Ongoing growth and diversification have led Sigfusson Northern to the forefront of general contracting and heavy civil construction where we incorporate trust, respect, integrity, and commitment to our community in every decision we make and everything we do.POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting to the HR Generalist, the HR Clerk is responsible for assisting the HR Generalist and HR Manager with administration duties. The HR Clerk will be assisting with policy reviews, supporting the Manitoba Apprenticeship Program, and coordinating hotel and travel bookings. This position will be based out of the Lundar, MB office with strong potential for growth.CORE RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

  • Provide support to the HR Generalist with policy review
  • Assist with administration for the Manitoba Apprenticeship Program
  • Update and maintain the HR database
  • Responsible for updating and booking travel accommodations
  • Review and reconcile the HR Department visa’s
  • Responsible for Reception coverage when required
  • Assist the HR Manager and HR Generalist with ad hoc duties as required
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
  • 2+ years of administration experience is required
  • Experience in the HR field will be considered an asset
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel) and Outlook
  • Strong data entry and records management skills
  • Ability to manage confidential information is mandatory
  • Strong accuracy and attention to detail is required
  • Ability to work in a team environment is required
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written as well as electronically
