Job Description

We are currently seeking a Journeyman or Apprentice Millwright to join our Lunenburg Operations. The Millwright will possess the ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic maintenance team in a progressive work environment. This is a unionized position located at our plant in Lunenburg, NS. The successful candidate will be assigned to an available shift by seniority following completion of in-house training.Primary Responsibilities:

  • Primarily responsible for general repair and maintenance of equipment and machinery
  • Completion of preventative maintenance tasks
  • General mechanical work in a production environment
  • Ability to work with hand and powered tools
  • Other projects/duties as required
Qualifications:
  • The ideal candidate will have a Journeyman Millwright certification.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area while contributing to overall plant safety and cleanliness
  • Inspecting and monitoring machinery and equipment for pinch points and safety hazards; installing safety devices as required
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Capable of following instruction manuals and troubleshooting
  • Excellent communication, team and people skills
  • Self-motivated with a high degree of initiative and flexibility
  • The ability to provide excellent customer service in a demanding production environment
  • Candidates must be capable of working rotating shifts.
