Human Resources AdvisorJob briefThe Human Resource Advisor will oversee all aspects of human resources functions including, but not limited to the following.What is a Human Resource AdvisorThe Human Resource Advisor is the go-to person for all employees-related aspects of the companies.Human Resources Advisor Responsibilities

  • Enhances the organization’s human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices.
  • Maintains the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions.
  • Complete staffing process including job posting, recruiting, testing, interviewing and all hiring documents for employee files; counselling managers on candidate selection; conducting and analysing exit interviews; and recommending changes. Maintain records of turnover, absenteeism, short and long sick leaves and provide suggestions.
  • Prepares employees for assignments by establishing, conducting and developing orientation and training programs, including continuous training.
  • Ensures planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees; scheduling management conferences with employees; hearing and resolving employee grievances; and counselling employees and supervisors.
  • Implements employee benefits programs and informs employees of benefits by studying and assessing benefit needs and trends; recommending benefit programs to management; directing the processing of benefit claims; obtaining and evaluating benefit contract bids; awarding benefit contracts; and designing and conducting educational programs on benefit programs.
  • Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and provincial requirements, conducting investigations, and maintaining records.
  • Enforces management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures.
  • Retains historical human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system and keeping past and current records.
  • Completes human resource operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees and following up on work results.
  • Advances human resource staff job results by counselling and disciplining employees, and planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Be part of the Health and Safety committee and ensure all best practices are in place, followed and communicate to employees.
  • Ensure employee trainings such as propane, First Aid and all others are valid, and all licences renewal performed accordingly. Scheduled employee trainings session as required.
  • Determine the human resource needs, both short and long term, based on current business and future development.
  • Conduct performance evaluation with managers on an annual basis. Review all performance evaluation documents in place and provide suggestion to improve processes.
  • Develop and implement, with management team, upselling strategies with incentives to employees.
  • Conduct employee’s surveys to improve working methods and environment. This should allow to better understand employee turnover and suggestion to improve procedures.
  • Develop an employee of the month program with realistic and attainable measurable goals.
  • All other Human Resource tasks that may be required and not limited to the above list.
