Job Description

Currey Insurance Agencies Inc (CIA) is a boutique local financial planning firm that works with high-net-worth clients, business owners, entrepreneurs, and professional clients, offering a holistic approach to financial and estate planning, financial advice, risk management, and wealth management. CIA is a growing firm seeking a motivated financial planner to join our team.Are you someone who:

The primary role for this position is support of the principle of the firm and other advisory staff in the office. This role is dynamic, with both client-facing and advisor-facing components.This role includes:Advisor Support
  • Responsibility for a block of clients, including oversight of key metrics, maintaining client satisfaction, and using industry knowledge to make recommendations which improve clients’ situations
  • Financial planning review, data entry, and current and future client analysis
  • Meeting with clients, including preparation, information and data gathering, and administrative account servicing
  • Asset management, insurance and risk planning, estate planning, and a holistic approach to financial planning
  • Special projects as needed
  • Advisor/office support using Equisoft/connect CRM to maintain information for clients, their goals, and strategies
Investment Management
  • Review investment portfolios for assigned clients
  • Communicate regularly with CIA firm principles to develop and maintain key strategies
  • Stay appraised of market trends and investment products
  • Assist office team to facilitate new business applications
  • Assist office team to set up, maintain, and administer portfolios
Client Support/Relationships
  • Monitor market and industry trends, communicate regularly with assigned clients, and support the advisory team
  • Advise clients on products, services, and recommendations
  • Arrange the purchase or sale of investments for clients
  • Arrange the purchase, renewal, or maintenance of insurance products
  • Engage in networking with existing client base for new referrals
Marketing
  • Assist in relationship development and networking for the business
  • Collaborate and develop marketing strategies for key financial services offered by the firm
Skills and Qualifications
  • 2 years work experience
  • Licensed to sell life and accidentamp; sickness insurance in Ontario
  • Licensed to sell investments in Ontario
  • Skilled with technology
  • Marketing/sales skills
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently or with a team
  • Highly organized, able to follow-up
  • Creativeamp; intuitive problem-solving
  • High integrity
  • High self-confidence
Compensation to be determined based on skills, background, ability, and any applicable licensing. Compensation is a combination of salary and additional bonuses based on personal and firm goals.
