DescriptionPosition #: 201101Expected Start Date: January 08, 2025Union: HSASFacility: Southwest Integrated Health FacilityCity/Town: Maple CreekDepartment: Ambulance - LandType: Part-time temporaryExpected Up to Date: July 08, 2026FTE: 0.67Shift Information: Days, Nights, Evenings, Weekends, StandbyHours of Work: 14 shifts of 8 hours per 4 weeksRelief: NoFloat: NoField Hours: NoSalary or Pay Band: Pay Band Emergency Medical Technician $29.909 to $36.572Travel Required: No Reporting to the Southwest EMS Operations Manager the Emergency Medical Technician - Primary Care Paramedic (PCP) is responsible for responding to emergent and non-emergent EMS calls for service; and for providing initial assessment, treatment, stabilization and transport of ill or injured persons at the Basic Life Support level. The PCP will provide care with strict adherence to: Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) core values, policies, and work standards; Saskatchewan College of Paramedics (SCoP) Paramedic Clinical Practice Protocols; The Paramedics Act and SCoP Regulatory and Administrative Bylaws; and The Saskatchewan Ambulance Act and Regulations.Human Resources Exemption: NoEducation

  • Primary Care Paramedic diploma (PCP)
Licenses
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate (CPR)
  • Valid Class 4 driver #39;s license
  • Registered Emergency Medical Technician/Primary Care Paramedic (EMT/PCP)
  • Automated External Defibrillator Certificate (AED)
  • International Trauma Life Support Certificate (ITLS)

  • Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics at PCP/EMT level
