Garaventa Lift, an industry leader in accessibility products, is now hiring for full time position in our Elevator and Lift Service Department. Our service department, headquartered out of our Maple Ridge location, is the largest and most experienced accessibility trained service department in British Columbia and covers the entire Lower Mainland, Vancouver Island as well as the Okanagan region.We currently have an immediate career opportunity for a new trainee apprentice to compliment our expanding service team. We are looking for energetic, punctual employees who are eager to learn new skills and advance in a rewarding career as a Certified Accessibility and Private Residence Lift Technician (TSBC H-Class Certified). As a Certified Accessibility and Private Residence Lift Technician, you will be enrolled in a two-year Technical Safety BC accredited program and be provided with all the training materials, in class and hands on training required to become a fully certified H-Class Mechanic. Throughout the apprenticeship training you will be introduced to and trained on performing maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of all types of commercial and residential accessibility lifts as well residential home elevators. Hiring preference will be given to candidates with previous experience/apprenticeship training in the elevator, millwright, or electrical trades, although consideration will be given to applicants with the right aptitude and who posses the following skills:
