Job Description

As a Transfer Station Floor Attendant, you are responsible to ensure that the transfer station is operating in a neat, tidy and cost-effective manner. This entry-level position is located at the Maple Ridge Transfer Station.Key Responsibilities: -Perform site maintenance daily using the lawnmower, leaf blower, etc. as well as use the backhoe and forklift to move material aroundAssisting the public with directing customers with the drop off of their disposal & recycling of household itemsKnowledge, Skills & Competencies:

  • Landfill experience is an asset
  • Valid Class 5 Drivers License
  • Backhoe & forklift experience is an asset
  • Knowledge of the handling, storage and disposal of Hazardous Substance and Dangerous Waste is an asset.
  • Experience or a mechanical aptitude would be an asset
  • This position does require weekend shifts
