Job Description

E-One Moli Energy (Canada) Limited is a leading-edge lithium-ion battery research and development facility located in Maple Ridge, B.C. Under the tradename MOLICEL®, our rechargeable lithium-ion batteries are powering in a wide variety of applications throughout the world – electric vehicles, power tools, medical equipment, energy storage systems – just to name a few. Our technically-minded employees are a fantastic group who really love to research and develop great batteries!We are looking for a full-time, permanent HR Generalist to join our team! The HR Generalist is responsible for the day-to-day operations of all HR initiatives, including recruitment, training and development, performance management, employee relations, and HRIS. If you have a “roll up your sleeve and get to work” attitude, we would love to speak with you!DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform full-cycle recruitment, including determining job requirements, posting, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Responsible for back-end configuration of the ATS and HRIS, and conduct audits on the information regularly.
  • Facilitate the performance review evaluation process and prepare corresponding documents.
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding and orientation; update the process as needed.
  • Support managers and employees with various employee relation issues and performance management.
  • Conduct workplace investigations, as required.
  • Generate monthly reports.
  • Determine knowledge gaps and coordinate employee training and development initiatives.
  • Stay abreast of and recommend any grant available for training / employee placement / our specific industry.
  • Be an active member in the social committee and the safety committee.
  • Review and update current HR policies, and create new HR policies, as needed.
  • Draft and send company-wide communication related to HR.
  • Becoming involved in the promotion of health, safety and employee wellness.
  • Mentor junior staff
  • Potential to be a backup for payroll & benefits administration.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A degree or diploma in Human Resources, along with 3+ years of progressive HR experience as a Generalist.
  • Upholds integrity and confidentiality of all personnel files and systems.
  • A self-starter with strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to work well with a diverse group.
  • Flexibility and the ability to adapt to rapidly changing work priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient with MS Office (Word – mail merge, formatting; Excel – vlookup, pivot tables)
  • Ability to prioritize and complete tasks on a timely basis.
  • Is friendly and approachable and values employee suggestions and feedback.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office/365
  • Knowledge of best practices and regulations specific to HR
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills
