Job Description

Large Childcare Centre is looking for a permanent full time Infant/Toddler Educator (Early Childhood Educator) as soon as possible.1. Company name: Start Smart Childcare Centre Inc.2. Business address: 22610 Dewdney Trunk Road, Maple Ridge, BC, V2X 3J93. Compensation: $18-$19/hr4. Working hours: 30-40 hours/week with 2week paid vacation5. Number of vacancy: 26. Required language skill: English7. Duties:

  • Lead daily activities for children age between 9months and 3 years by telling or reading stories, teaching songs and taking children to local points of interest
  • Provide instruction by using Jumpstart Music program to develop creativity
  • Provide other opportunities to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play and physical activity
  • Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits
  • Prepare snacks and encourage children to eat fruits
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians or supervisor
  • Assess the abilities, interests and needs of children and update their progress by using Hi Mamma Application
  • Discuss progress or problems with parents and other staff members
8. Location of work: 22610 Dewdney Trunk Road, Maple Ridge, BC, V2X 3J99. Requirement/Qualification:
  • Infant/Toddler Educator Certificate is must for the position.
  • College diploma in Early Childhood Education is required.
  • 1-2 years of ECE work experience is an asset.
