Job Description

E-One Moli Energy (Canada) Limited is a leading-edge lithium-ion battery research and development facility located in Maple Ridge, B.C. Our technically-minded employees are a fantastic group who really love to research and develop great batteries!The Role:We are looking for a Network Administrator to join our Information Systems team. Reporting to the IS Supervisor, you will be continuously learning as you work alongside our Jr. Programmer Analyst and Systems Administrator to ensure all our systems run like a well-oiled machine. No one day looks the same for our IS team as they tackle new and exciting projects, all while keeping our critical systems up-to-date and operational. If keeping the internal customer is a priority for you, you are self-motivated and a whiz at staying organized, this may be the perfect fit for you.Key Responsibilities:

  • Management of the network, switch configuration and IP design
  • Administer Linux/Unix system and backups
  • Collaborate with the IS team to provide support to end-users through a help desk ticketing system
  • Ensure network security through administration of Secureworks managed services
  • Allow for smooth transitions between systems by administering Middleware data management script
  • Keep our information safe using Datto backup tools
  • Support the administration of VMWare ESXi 7.0
Skills Required:
  • Post-secondary education in computer systems & networks or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
  • 2+ years in a similar role with comparable skills and responsibilities
  • 2+ years of experience supporting Windows 7/10 PC clients
  • 2+ years of experience with functions of devices; routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and servers (Aruba/HPE, iOS, Cisco Meraki)
  • Hands-on experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, VPN, LAN, WAN, VLAN
  • Experience with layer 2 switching concepts/technologies: MAC addresses, VLANs, Trunks, STP
  • Experience with IP addressing, subnetting and ARP
  • Ability to utilize common network troubleshooting tools such as ping, traceroute, nslookup
  • Sound scripting/coding skills (Unix/Linux shell, PowerShell, Python)
  • Working knowledge of IT security best practices, processes, and tools.
  • Knowledge of Office 365 administration
  • Demonstrates a high level of teamwork skills and ability to share ideas and solutions to work challenges.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Nice to have:
  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in an Information Technology related field
  • CCNA, MCSE or CompTIA Certifications
  • Docker/Kubernetes
  • An interest in learning database programming skills
