Job Description

PIPE TECHNICIANPipe Technicians are responsible for manufacturing PVC or ABS casing, and accessories. Pipe technician’s duties include production, quality control, packaging, and workplace maintenance.MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • Operating CNC lathes, and custom machinery to produce casing/accessories
  • Manually assembly of products or sub-items
  • Quality control of relevant parts/tasks
  • Maintenance of equipment, department, and building
  • Physical inventory and stock counting
  • Participate in Health & Safety discussions
PRIMARY OBJECTIVES
  • Producing quality parts
  • Develop a strong and positive production team
  • Contribute ideas/input towards the growth of the company
  • Coordinating with other members of the team to fulfill orders in a timely manner
  • Organizing material and orders to increase efficiency within the department
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB
  • Efficiency planning, setup, safety checks, operation, maintenance, programming
  • Gluing plastic sub-assemblies, hand drilling/riveting, inspecting, placing caps/covers on parts, installing o rings inside grooves
  • Checking parts with samples, gauges, and measuring equipment. Accurate counting and planning relevant to current and other orders. Organization while in production stages.
  • Maintenance of equipment, department, and building(s)
  • Cleaning work area after use. Inspecting and cleaning department daily. Integrity of company property
  • Watching physical levels of usable goods, and sellable goods. Working with team and managers to maintain accuracy of stock
  • Workers are responsible to report unsafe conditions and give input on issues and improvement
