Job Description

Jiffy John Rentals is a family run, local Maple Ridge portable services company. With the growth of our organization, we are looking for a highly motivated, passionate individual to join our team. Whether you are just starting in the Transportation/Waste Industry or you are already a successful professional driver, Jiffy John Rentals is looking for you!Responsibilities:

  • Operating Portable Services Trucks in a safe, responsible manner
  • Providing exceptional customer service skills
  • Operating equipment in a safe and efficient manner
  • Understanding of logistics and geography of the lower mainland
  • Managing time and routes in an efficient manor
  • Being physically able to lift, carry and/or push objects weighing more than 50lbs
What your day to day will look like:
  • Working from 6 am until 2 pm (overtime is available as needed)
  • Performing Pre- and Post- trip vehicle inspections of assigned vehicle
  • Following route assignments throughout the day and completes all documentation when checking in at the end of the route
  • Providing customer service in the field
  • Servicing portable toilets on a service route
  • Working with the Operations Supervisor to improve route efficiencies
Education/ Experience Requirements:
  • Class 5 drivers license (with Air Endorsement preferred)
  • Clean drivers abstract (30 days or newer)
  • Strong communication skills (written/verbal)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Work experience in the portable toilet or waste service industry
  • Great knowledge of the lower mainland area

  • Outgoing personality with ability to connect with people easily and form relationships
  • Aptitude for learning and grasping new concepts easily
  • Ability to keep calm and think quick under pressure

  • Strong interpersonal skills; with clients and colleagues
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Working Knowledge of Metro Vancouver and Fraser Valley
