COVID-19 protocols are being strictly followed.Program TermThis role is a 12-month positionMay 1, 2023 – April 26, 2024About the DepartmentAnalog IP Characterization team is part of the larger analog IP design team. We work with design Engineers on the latest and most advanced analog designs.What you’ll be doingIn this position, working with experienced Engineers, you will Develop your technical abilities in a very specialized and rewarding field.You will learn and test some of the most advanced analog circuits present in today’s PC environmentHelp create test plans for above circuitsExecute test using state of the art instruments (such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, function generators, etc), collect data, and help prepare reportWhat you’ll learnIn this role, you will learn about PC architecture and high-speed interfaces such as USB, PCIe, HDMI, etc. You will also work with semiconductor devices produced with the latest and most advanced process technology.RequirementsBasic knowledge of analog circuitsFamiliarity with using test equipment such as Scopes, Function Generators, Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, etc.Computer programming skill (Python, C, C++, …) and familiarity with device specification is preferredStrong problem-solving skillsExperience with building/assembling PCs is a plus.Benefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.AMD does not accept unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies, or fee-based recruitment services.
