Job Description

Subsidiary: Miller Paving LimitedLocation: Markham, ONWhat Does a Claims and QMS Coordinator DoThe Claims and QMS Coordinator will reach out to collaborate with all levels in the organization to support the claims process and deliverables of the Quality Management System.As a Claims & QMS Coordinator, You Will:Claims and Sub Contractor Management:

  • Provide administrative support to the Contract Compliance Team by organizing information to support claims and issues resolution process
  • Develop working draft responses to correspondence, claims, and extension of time requests
  • Organize and ensure all contract claim submissions are stored electronically in a central data base
Quality Management System Administrator:
  • Provide administrative support to QMS Manager and the quality team, developing quality manuals, quality bulletins and proposals
  • Assist in the development of ITPs/Checklists, Quality Talks, and other quality tools
  • Use and maintain trackers to monitor the progress of contracts and associated quality metrics
  • Liaise with QMS representatives from the various divisions to obtain quality statistics for reporting and assist with presenting the data in a clear format
  • Research contract specifications to assist in interpreting specifications or addressing quality issues and draft correspondence to address the issues
  • Track monthly submissions and coordinate reviews of contractor evaluations
  • Manage document control software licensing and user requirements
  • Coordinate with operations to ensure all contracts are completed and uploaded in central data base
  • Maintain and customize the standard subcontract agreements as required by collaborating with operating groups
  • Coordinate a review process based on established review protocols for contracts as issued by various owners
  • Research contract specifications and review documents
What Youll Bring:
  • Prior experience dealing with major change/claims management/dispute resolution issues, an asset
  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems an asset
  • Awareness of construction and contract change law considered an asset
  • Post-Secondary degree or diploma
  • Complex problem solving and critical thinking skills to trouble shoot issues system and process discrepancies
  • A personable, extroverted attitude to build and maintain relationships inside and outside the organization
  • Maintain confidentiality with sensitive information
  • Ability to work independently
  • Capable to analyze data and identify trends
  • Talented at multi-tasking and prioritizing work in a fast-paced work environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and willingness to learn and utilize new software
  • Effective communication skills (oral and written)
  • Proven presentation design skills
