What we are looking for:The Clerk/Receptionist is a valuable member of the team and has a significant impact on the efficient and effective operation of the clinic. The successful candidate will be responsible for both clerical and receptionist duties.Responsibilities Include :

• scheduling clinic appointments for initial consultation and follow-up visits including Diagnostic testing that is required
• greeting patients, answering and directing telephone calls to the appropriate personnel
• follow-up of telephone reminder appointments to patients as required
• ordering and maintaining supplies
• entering lab orders
• photocopying, filing, scanning
• compiling and/or photocopying reports to send to various outside agencies
• performing special projects as assigned
• Ensuring sleep lab and other clinic appointments within CRH are filled

What you bring to the role:

• Previous medical reception/clerical experience required, in a clinic/outpatient setting
• Preferred knowledge of sleep apnea and associated supplies
• Knowledge of and/or completion of a medical terminology course
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft office tools, Meditech experience required
• Previous experience with patient scheduling systems is required
• Experience with scheduling diagnostic testing and lab testing
• Excellent organization skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
• Excellent public relations and communication skills with a pleasant telephone manner
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively and collaboratively as a member of the team
• Evidence of good attention to detail
• Excellent organizational skills
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within an interprofessional team as well as independently
• Demonstrated good attendance and performance records with the ability to maintain these same standards
• Demonstrates a commitment to a healthy and safe workplace for self and others (staff, patients, families, etc.) by taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with organization related policies, health and safety legislation and best practices and completing relevant mandatory education as required

Compensation:Band CUP C03: Ranges from $24.39 - $27.43 per hour.Work Schedule:The successful candidate is required to work 3.5 days a week (FTE 0.7) and be available to work Monday Friday 0830-1630 and 0900- 1700 .
