Job Description

Are you ready to join usWhat we need:As a communications clerk you will operate a Mitel console, and various types of communication equipment such as paging and locating systems. A key responsibility is to respond to and act upon the communication needs for emergency codes and provide a positive customer experience to everyone you deal with.What you bring to the role:
  • Previous switchboard experience in a hospital environment, or large organization along with working knowledge of a variety of communication systems
  • Proven well-developed customer service skills; with a demonstrated courteous and professional telephone manner
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
  • Excellent computer skills; working in a computerized environment would be an asset
  • Previous experience working on a Mitel console is preferred
  • Ability to work independently, with proven decision making skills
  • Ability to work well under stress
  • Demonstrated good attendance and performance records with the ability to maintain these same standards
  • Demonstrates a commitment to a healthy and safe workplace for self and others (staff, patients, families, etc.) by taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with organizations related policies, health and safety legislation and best practices and completing relevant mandatory education as required
Work ScheduleThe successful candidate must be available to work days, evenings and nights on weekdays and weekends.The successful candidate will have availability to cover the following shifts if needed:
  • Mon – Fri 7:30-15:30 8:30-16:30 16:00-24:00 16:30-21:00 22:00-06:00 24:00-08:00
  • Weekends 7:30-15:30 11:00-19:00 16:00-24:00 22:00-06:00 24:00-08:00
