Today, we are bringing liver research to life by promoting liver health, improving public awareness and understanding of liver disease, raising funds for research, and providing support to individuals affected by liver disease.Employment Opportunity OverviewThe Canadian Liver Foundation is seeking an individual with experience working in a charitable, not-for-profit sector who is a strong administrator and committed to excellence. Reporting to the Director of Fund Development, the Donor Relations, and Gift Administration Coordinator, will work closely with the Philanthropy team to handle the administrative and stewardship needs of the fund development program. The person will be motivated, attentive to detail, and be the first line of communication with donors to build rapport and ensure every gift is handled with care and consideration. This position supports annual giving, major giving (corporate giving and foundations), planned giving, and tribute giving.Key Roles and ResponsibilitiesDonor Administration and Stewardship:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service and support to donors and stakeholders.
  • Answer donor inquiries, respond to donor requests and ensure all donors are thanked, receipted, and tracked in the CRM system.
  • Receive and respond to emails and phone inquiries from donors in a timely and professional manner.
  • Monitor email inboxes and respond to a variety of messages; categorize and track emails in the database.
  • Update donors contact and biographical information in the database in accordance with database business rules.
  • Locate and research specific donations in the database, and relay information to donors and/or Fund Development team.
  • Responsible for thank-you calls to donors and weekly stewardship reports and batching of donations reports.
  • Provide backup administrative support as required.
  • Assist in other duties and special projects as required in furthering the goals of the Fund Development team and the Foundation.
  • Run reports to track the fund development programsSupport with stewardship and specialized mailings.
CRM Management & Data Integrity:
  • Proactively track constituent moves through the stages of fundraising, understand what actions are to be taken with key prospects, and prompt relationship managers to complete actions.
  • Work with relationship managers to ensure prospect/donor files in Raiser’s Edge are always up-to-date.
  • Pull reports and data from Raiser’s Edge, customize for the intended audience, and distribute.
  • Assess accuracy and integrity of Raisers Edge (RE) and Luminate Online (LO) to ensure data is of high quality.
  • Export and import data from various sources.
  • Execute Data Hygiene Protocol and Duplicate Management ProjectsEnsure business rules for all data processing and database related activities are carried out.
  • Track and communicate database updates and changes to appropriate departments.
  • Assist in monthly reconciliation process between main systemsAssist with API development and integration projects, ensuring flow of data between Luminate Online, Team Raiser and Raiser’s Edge NXT meets requirements.
  • Assist with events.
  • Other duties as required
Skills and Qualifications
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in the areas of special event fundraising, donor relations, stewardship, recognition, and annual giving.
  • 2-3 years of experience in donor relations or customer service using Raiser’s Edge/ Luminate Online or a similar Customer Relationship Management system
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and a variety of demands in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational, administration, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
  • Exceptional data entry skills with a thorough understanding of fundraising software
  • Prompt response that is friendly, diplomatic and donor centric, while ensuring compliance with all policies and regulations
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office including MS Excel and MS Word
  • Superior problem resolution and analytical skills, with a strong donor/customer focus
  • High standards of integrity, judgement, and the ability to cultivate and maintain relationships of trust and confidentiality
  • Flexible, self-motivated, meets deadlines
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning and professional development to stay informed about fundraising trends and the organization’s mission and objectives
  • Willing to travel if required
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
  • Flexible to work occasional evenings and weekends if required
  • Fluency in English and French (written and verbal) is an asset
