Job Description

Subsidiary: Miller Paving LimitedLocation: MarkhamWhat Does a Employer Branding and Talent Marketing Specialist DoReporting to the Talent Manager, and in collaboration with our Communications and Talent Acquisition Teams, the Employer Branding and Talent Marketing Specialist will conduct research to better understand Miller’s business needs and target audience. You will identify opportunities to leverage market trends and insights to develop effective recruitment-focused strategies and tactics aimed at attracting top talent.As an Employer Branding and Talent Marketing Specialist, You Will:

  • Develop and implement creative social media recruitment marketing campaigns in order to increase talent brand awareness and engagement
  • Execute on Miller’s talent attraction strategy related to social media; working closely with Communications, Talent, Acquisition team, HR, and business leaders to further develop Miller’s reputation as an employer of choice through various campaigns on social media channels.
  • Educate the business on social media trends and tactics that can enhance Miller’s ability to attract top candidates.
  • Utilize talent metrics to monitor and analyze performance of social media platforms to report on the health of talent funnel and optimization of marketing dollars to get the best return on investment.
  • Lead and complete media campaigns for talent attraction, including developing new ideas for creative strategies, conducting market research to grasp talent trends, and optimizing digital media to meet hiring goals.
  • Compile media recommendations across multiple digital platforms and design, develop and deploy digital media strategies.
  • Develop and execute Search Engine Optimization (SEO) audits and ongoing management of digital ads to achieve keyword targets.
  • Develop and implement creative social media recruitment marketing campaigns to increase talent brand awareness and engagement.
  • Support all diversity, equity and inclusion related strategies to attract and hire talent to ensure we build an inclusive and diverse workplace.
  • Participate in improving candidate onboarding, experience and engagement.
  • Conduct employer branding activities such as online and offline events, campaigns, presentations, and out-of-the-box initiatives to attract talent and empower recruitment activities.
  • Work with the Early Talent Coordinator to organize and support events such as sponsorship, partnerships, events with universities, internships, etc.
  • Partner with our HR teams to ensure that our careers site, job postings, and social media content reflect Miller’s employer brand value proposition.
  • Further develop Miller’s pages on talent acquisition sites (Glassdoor, LinkedIn, etc.).
What Youll Bring:
  • Post-secondary education or equivalent work experience
  • 2-5 years experience in communications, with a focus on talent acquisition and employment branding
  • Strong knowledge of social media tools and platforms, and recruitment marketing
  • Strong interpersonal skills – ability to work collaboratively with internal clients, advising and influencing in a team-based environment
  • Previous experience contributing to projects with organization-wide impact and/or multiple stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and presentation skills and be able to tell the story through numbers
  • Ability to work at a fast pace and adapt to change
