Job Description

NOTE: Hybrid work model in effect, office located in Markham, Ontario.Work Experience: 5+ years of ERP Application Support, Metal distribution Industry, Red Hat Linux, SQL, UNIX ShellScripting, Oracle, Windows, Jira, General Ledger, AccountingDESCRIPTION: The ERP Application Technical Support Analyst will contribute to our culture of service by helping our demanding clients with calm, confident solutions to their issues. The successful candidate will possess strong conflict resolution, customer service & technical expertise in addition to general helpdesk skills. The successful candidate will:

  • Respond to support requests in person, via phone, electronically
  • Diagnose and resolve technical and user-based software issues
  • Research questions using available information resources
  • Follow standard help desk procedures (ticketing, triage, logging all interactions)
  • Consult with staff and 3rd party vendors to develop solutions
  • Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention
  • Track and route problems and requests and document resolutions
  • Prepare activity reports
  • Stay current with system information, changes and updates
  • Possess excellent English language skills, both oral and written
REQUIREMENTS:
  • College Diploma in a relevant technical program & industry/vendor certification
  • 5+ years of progressive technical helpdesk analyst experience
  • 5+ years of call tracking application & helpdesk reporting
  • 2+ years of standard ERP applications primary functions
  • 2+ years of Red Hat Linux/Windows: OS install, configuration, printers & peripherals, networking and scripting
  • 2+ years LAN/WAN/SAN/CLOUD, VMWare, VPN, Backup & Failsafe Disaster Recovery Operations)
  • 2+ years Oracle/SQL database querying and configuration
  • 1+ year of accounting functions including general ledger, accrual accounting, etc.
