Further information is available at www.bgis.comSUMMARYThe Oracle Applications Functional Support Specialist provides end-user support in the identification and resolution of Oracle EBS, and Oracle Cloud issues; escalates and works with internal I.T. teams and vendor to resolve issues where required.KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESSystems Support

  • Understanding of Oracle Workflow
  • Define profile option values
  • Manage folders
  • Manage specific areas of the Oracle E-Business Suite with support from the Oracle Applications Manager
  • Implement Function Security
  • Implement Oracle User Management
  • Implement Flex Fields
  • Managing Concurrent Programs and Reports
  • Managing Concurrent Processing
  • Understanding of AME
  • Defining Responsibilities
  • Defining a Request Security Group
  • Responsible for providing first-line systems support to end-users for Oracle EBS, Oracle Cloud Invoicing, and APEX applications
  • Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves Oracle EBS, Oracle Cloud Invoicing, and Apex issues including but not limited to production and integration issues. Escalates and works with internal I.T. teams and vendor to resolve issues where required
  • Monitors incidents to ensure timely resolution in accordance with service level agreement
  • Logs issues and resolutions details into I.T. Support System
  • Provides end-user access to Oracle
  • Maintains documentation and prepares reports for audit support
  • Provides end-user training on Oracle application modules
Financial Transactions Processing
  • Processes financial transactions within BGIS’ financial management information systems (i.e. Oracle EBS and Oracle Cloud)
Client Reporting
  • Generates and provides reports to internal and external stakeholders
Testing and Quality Assurance
  • Executes user acceptance testing to support patch, upgrade, or enhanced functionality, where required
  • Other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
  • Community college diploma or university degree in an I.T.-related field, preferably with 1-3 years demonstrated experience
  • Experience with Oracle financial management systems, an asset. Strong ability to learn information management systems quickly
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to write application queries
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to exercise good judgment
  • High degree of customer service orientation
