At Oak Valley Health, we are honoured to care.Oak Valley Health, Markham Stouffville Hospital (MSH), features newly renovated facilities including a new cancer clinic, breast health center, diagnostic imaging center, and medical/surgical units. There is a group of highly motivated and skilled sub-specialists, surgeons, radiologists, pathologists, nurses, and allied health professionals. We are also a training site for UofT trainees. In addition, we have an active expanding research program that supports open phase 3 clinical trials.The Department of Medicine is looking for a gastroenterologist to join our team. As part of the Gastroenterology division, you will share an equal share of on call weeks with our current complement of four gastroenterologists with an equal share of elective and urgent inpatient endoscopy time. We currently have two gastroenterologists trained in therapeutic endoscopy including ERCP and we would prefer a candidate trained in therapeutic endoscopy, but this is not required. You will be part of a rapidly growing Department of Medicine helping to serve one of the fastest growing communities in the GTA. There are opportunities for involvement in teaching and creative professional activities, and the successful applicant may be eligible for a faculty appointment at the University of Toronto.The preferred candidate must have licensure to practice in Ontario and certification in gastroenterology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of CanadaApplications will be accepted until the position is filed.
