COVID-19 protocols are being strictly followed.Program TermThis role is a 12-month positionMay 1, 2023 – April 26, 2024About the DepartmentThe Product Line Quality team for AMD Discrete and Data Center Graphic products manage the root cause debug efforts related to customer line reject and field failure units. Drive resolution of customer quality/reliability excursions and it is a main interface between AMD Customers, business units and AMD Suppliers for Quality and Reliability items.The RoleThe Customer Quality Engineer Co-opLT is responsible for helping to manage quality related issues at the customer and at the customer’s production facilities.What you’ll be doingData analytics of customer DPPM data, following Pareto methodology, initiating failure analysis and corrective actions as necessary.Prepare failure analysis reports for customer reviewProgram-manage the root cause debug efforts related to customer line reject and field failure unitsMonitor RMA metrics from their OEM/ODM accounts and in similar fashion to yield management, ensures that RMAs are with acceptable thresholds.Build relationships within the organization to drive effective decision-making to close Corrective and Preventative Actions across multiple teams (design, platform, product engineering, packaging etc.)Drive customer inquiries to closure, both at ASIC and board level.Primary interfaces include failure analysis team and product line quality owner.Help maintain Quality Management System.What you’ll learnHow to use the key business functions to coordinate root cause investigations.Industry expectations for customer reporting.Benefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.AMD does not accept unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies, or fee-based recruitment services.
