This sponsorship provides Metergy with access to large-scale capital, infrastructure investment expertise and global reach.Our MissionThrough trustworthy expertise in submetering solutions, we empower our clients to make their buildings more marketable and residents to reduce their energy consumption.Position SummaryThis position is accountable for the movement of inventory into and out of Metergy’s warehouse located in Markham, and the shipping of material to project sites across Canada.Responsibilities:

  • Fulfill inventory release requests, including picking and staging requested product, creating packing slips and updating request status in request system
  • Coordinate delivery of material project sites and sealing labs across Canada with couriers and freight companies, resolve any delivery issues in timely manner
  • Complete deliveries and pickups to/from locations within the greater Toronto area using company vehicle as required
  • Create and post transactions in inventory management system for all inventory movement in and out of warehouse facility
  • Receive incoming inventory and consumable deliveries, verify that shipments match purchase orders, process receipts into inventory management system and validate associated invoices
  • Receive and process surplus or defective returned material from project sites into inventory management system and update defective product database
  • Label and shelve all incoming (new and returned) product in the warehouse
  • Coordinate shipment of RMA material to manufactures within Canada and the US
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate restocking requirements
  • Assist with inventory counts and recycling/scrapping activities
  • Perform audits on transactions in inventory management system to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives
  • Housekeeping duties in the warehouse to ensure safety and cleanliness
  • This position will typically work alone or with a small group to ensure coverage is maintained at the facility during operating hours

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a warehouse environment and inventory control
  • College diploma or equivalent in logistics, warehouse management or supply chain is an asset
  • Strong computer skills with experience in using Microsoft Excel, inventory management software and email
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven commitment to the delivery of customer-focused services
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Highly motivated, pro-active, flexible professional with the ability to adapt to a complex and quickly changing environment
  • Thorough, conscientious and results oriented work style, with high regard for details and accuracy
  • Physically able to lift and carry heavy merchandise exceeding 30 lbs.
  • Ability to work effectively with hand tools and material handling equipment
  • Valid Class G driver’s license with clean driver’s abstract maintained
  • High regard for personal and public safety
