Job Description

Oaple Forest Products in Canada provides forestry materials from North America to all around the world. We provide value to our customers by having stringent quality control of our products and provide worry free logistic solutions.We are a young, ambitious and fast growing company. We are looking for a motivated, honest and hardworking individual with youthful energy who can bring value to the team. Competitive salary and growth potential available to the right candidate.You will work in our team primarily analyzing freight logistics, implementing shipping solutions, along with general office tasks. You will work eight hours a day and five days a week. Prior experience in the industry is an asset.Duties & Responsibilities

  • Communicate with freight forwarders and suppliers via e-mail and phone calls
  • Prepare the relevant paper and digital documentation for shipping purposes
  • Analyze freight rates, calculate cost of goods, and research shipping routes
  • Determine and recommend efficient and cost-effective logistics solutions
  • Create invoices, packing lists and other documentation for international customs
  • Perform data entry duties into the company ERP system
  • Inspect and check incoming and outgoing documentation for accuracy
  • Maintain relevant files and databases using MS Office and Google Drive apps
  • Effectively monitor and track the flow of goods during the shipping process
  • Prepare periodical reports for management to evaluate the overall shipping process
  • Answer phone calls, emails, and provide general administrative support
  • Sensitivity to confidential matters is required
  • Other office duties as assigned by management
Minimum Qualifications
  • Industry experience with supply chain or logistics is an asset
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from an accredited institution
  • Very strong ability to multitask
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to organize and prioritize down to the fine details
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and document creation software such as Adobe Acrobat
  • Good computer skills with at least 60 wpm typing speed

  • Advanced knowledge of Google Drive apps
  • Industry knowledge in freight forwarding
