Perform internal environmental audits and provide environmental guidance to the operating businessesMonitor and relay information to operations and the HSE team on changes in pertinent Federal and Provincial regulationsSupport environmental data gathering and reporting through the XFI reporting process (Corporate Data Management System)Update Management on reportable environmental incidents monthly, prepare, and monitor the progress of local action plans aimed at continuous improvementResearch and relay information on new products and practices that could be used in operations for Environmental stewardshipImplement Miller’s Environmental Management System for each business to improve environmental standing of companyCreate and facilitate training and information sessions as requestedOperate as the environment subject matter expert in collaboration with the Environmental manager and liaise between The Miller Group, Colas Canada, Colas SA and Colas Canada Inc. subsidiariesTrack all corporate and operational action plans. Ensure adherence to deadlinesEnsure compliance to Environmental and/or Sustainable Development PoliciesComplete all required administration and necessary processes to obtain the required permitsIn partnership with operations, support the environmental manager in developing environmental project plans as neededInput and manage data within the electronic HSE Management SystemRequirements:1 -3 years of progressive experience in Environmental roles or operations-based experience with an Environmental focus in the construction industry, on-site as a subject matter expertPost-secondary education – Diploma or Degree in a program related to Environmental studies is preferred, working towards EP designation is considered an assetAbility to travel to support operational needs, conduct site visits, etc.Strong organizational and time management skillsStrong analytical and problem solving skills, ability to create responsive action plansEffective communication skillsAbility to lead by exampleWorking knowledge of a variety of provincial Environmental regulations, requiredStrong computer and software skills, including Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint and email programsWe will contact candidates selected for an interview.
