Job Description

What we are looking for:
  • Expert knowledge of quality and safety with the ability to introduce innovative approaches to change
  • Specialized skills in project management and the ability to lead a portfolio of projects
  • Strategic thinker bringing new approaches to quality and safety, service innovation and performance management
  • Sound knowledge of quality improvement methodologies, safety methodologies, service design, data management and patient engagement
  • Expert in stakeholder management, with the aability to forge and maintain strong internal and external stakeholder relationships
What you bring to the role:
  • University degree in Health Administration, Business Administration, quality Improvement, Patient Safety Engineering or Health Disciple preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience leading healthcare or hospital-based projects with demonstrated leadership in the areas of Quality Improvement, Patient Safety, and the Accreditation Canada process preferred
  • Quality Improvement and Patient Safety training required, Project Management training an asset
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to coach, mentor and motivate
  • Demonstrated project management expertise including effective planning, coordinating and overseeing multiple operational and strategic initiatives
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated experience in facilitation, collaboration and negotiation with multiple stakeholders and service providers
  • Strong written and oral/presentation skills
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to identify trends, establish benchmarks, as well as provide credible analysis and recommendations
  • Experienced at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential
  • Superior organizational skills, including attention to detail, prioritization and multi-tasking
  • Demonstrated good attendance and performance records with the ability to maintain these same standards
  • Demonstrates a commitment to a healthy and safe workplace for self and others (staff, patients, families, etc.) by taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with organization related policies, health and safety legislation and best practices and completing relevant mandatory education as required
