Job Description

Our client is in the smart home security and business monitoring solutions that enhance their customers’ lifestyles and sense of well-being.The Sales Manager will be required to increase revenue and market share with targeted accounts and new accounts in select channels of Distribution including, but not limited to E-commerce & Retail store locations. Candidate will be a highly visible and active manager within their defined territory and accounts.The successful candidate will have a strong ability to build relationships, possess a knowledge of various retail channels within the Electronics Industry with knowledge of working in collaboration with inventory demand planning and supply chain, with exceptional communication and presentation skills.Preferred locations and remote work: 3 days a week onsite in Markham. Hybrid.In this role, you will be in charge of:

  • Strategic development and execution of planned business growth with multiple channels of
distribution, incorporating Omni channel strategies and pricing with planned promotional activity with each account. * Proactive pursuit of new accounts and new business with existing customers for new item assortment optimization and expansion to maximize business. Develop presentations to propose new items and secure new business.
  • Lead business term and contract negotiations.
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual budgeted sales.
  • Communicate all competitive developments within the industry and the account customer base back to Sales Management and Product Management team.
  • Maximize product placement in competitive and limited floor/shelf space, while developing a more expansive, creatively merchandised assortment with the online division of each account.
  • Develop creative customer Omni Channel promotional strategies and execute with adequate lead time from accurate forecasting.
  • Acquire, analyze, and review weekly/monthly sell through reports from each customer and monitor monthly sell through and trends in order to properly develop, adjust and complete weekly/monthly sales forecasts. Maintain records of these sell through reports to establish history for future planning.
  • Develop & submit timely and accurate monthly, customer sales forecasts to Lorex procurement team incorporating promotional planning and account strategies.
  • Plan model transition planning and product life cycle management with each account.
  • Timely follow up and execution of all set up sheet documentation & content coordination with Sales Support & Marketing for model assortments with each account.
  • Prepare and submit timely and accurate paperwork for customer sales programs & promotional requests and Marketing Development Funding Support for approval.
  • Proactively assist credit/AR in clearing up charge backs, unauthorized deductions and collections if necessary and general problem solving needs of the customer, or escalated issue within the account.
  • Ability to demonstrate most products and provide basic product training on Lorex assortment.
  • Obtain knowledge of account shipping and receiving window compliance metrics, packaging requirements, pallet/pallet skirt measurement, displays.
*The ideal profile: *
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years’ experience selling in the electronics industry in multiple retail channels including eCommerce (preferably DIY CCTV)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, One Drive for Business
  • Ability to multitask in a team oriented fast paced environment and provide outstanding customer support through effective communication with resourceful problem solving skills
  • Detail oriented and organized with excellent written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills
  • Ability to cultivate strategic, long term relationships with ability to identify decision maker(s) and key staff support
  • Working knowledge of IoT Connected Home /Smartphone Technology and Internet Remote Technology & device connectivity through Apps
